Aston Villa are a club that are passionate about their fans and supporting their surrounding community. We’re incredibly proud to have worked with them to re-design their Indoor Academy at Villa Park, making it lighter, brighter and more welcoming to supporters.
As a significant investment into the community, we were very aware of the importance of utilising the existing building and the opportunities available.
The space is a critical resource in Villa’s community and education programmes that include encouraging physical activity, reducing social isolation, and tackling issues in society across education, health, community inclusion and participation.
The artwork includes club legends, senior stars and academy aces alongside re-drawn mascot favorites Hercules and Bella. We incorporated the lion rips, unique to Villa to break up the images and transition between their rich history and current successes.
It’s been incredibly well received by both fans and players, and serves as a great example of the impact football can have outside of the 90 minutes on the pitch.
We brought the building to life by inspiring, motivating and engaging fans of all ages through design. From grass-roots, right through to the older generation, it’s relatable to all and has real impact from the moment you walk in.
