CLASSIC FACE-OFF FOR THE RUGBY WORLD CUP

We worked with RugbyPass, the premier digital platform for global rugby fans to create  a bespoke World Cup content series to increase supporter excitement, engagement and stand-out amongst the digital noise across the tournament.

With the World Cup taking place in Japan and taking inspiration from the classic arcade face-off and Japanese culture, we created an immersive content series. We storyboarded and developed an entire ‘video game journey’ detailing hand-drawn characters, backgrounds, considered animations and bespoke sound effects to create something more than a score-update. We used each nations distinct identity and assets to create face-off’s depending on the fixtures.

GAME ON

We created an exciting series of shareable content for each individual fixture that detailed all the pre-game, in-game and post-game content. The series was used throughout the tournament across RugbyPass’ digital platforms, receiving over 600k views and 11k organic engagements worldwide.
